July brings with it a new slate of ex parte briefings, Commission Business Meetings, and other opportunities for South Carolinians to stay informed about new developments in our utility economy. To keep you updated, the Public Service Commission livestreams their weekly business meetings, all ex parte briefings, and hearings related to utility issues in South Carolina at this link, and we post these scheduled events on the Docket Management System at this link.
Please note that the Commission will be closed on July 4th for Independence Day. Due to the holiday week, there will not be a Commission Business Meeting on July 3rd. We hope you have a safe and enjoyable holiday!
In July, we’ll be livestreaming the following events:
July 11 at 10:00 a.m.: Annual review of purchased gas adjustment and gas purchasing policies of Piedmont Natural Gas Company, Incorporated. At this hearing, Commissioners will hear testimony related to Docket No. 2019-4-G. Watch live at this link.
July 11 at 2:00 p.m.: Commission Business Meetings happen each week and include Commission discussion about outstanding dockets. Commissioners introduce and vote on motions at these meetings, and issue directives, which later become official orders. Watch live at this link and be sure to stick around afterwards for the post-meeting summary, a layperson’s overview of the issues raised at that meeting.
July 24 at 2:00 p.m.: Commission Business Meeting planned.
